In the 1920s, a young and unassuming stable boy named Raghav works on a grand estate owned by the ruthless British landowner, Sir Hastings. The estate is home to a majestic, spirited horse named Shiv, whose raw power and elegance captivate everyone around him. However, the horse is fiercely independent and only responds to Raghav’s quiet, genuine presence, forming a special bond between them.
Raghav, a young man from a poor, lower-caste family, has always been told that his role in life is to serve, never to lead. His dreams are simple—he longs to ride Shiv, but the highborn and powerful estate overseers deem such a feat impossible for someone of his station. As the political tides turn with the rise of India’s independence movement, Raghav’s life begins to intersect with the revolution.
Amidst growing unrest and the harshness of colonial rule, Raghav befriends Asha, a passionate young woman who leads local resistance activities. She encourages him to see the larger fight for freedom and dignity, beyond the borders of the estate. As the rebellion intensifies, the estate becomes a battleground between the British and the indigenous freedom fighters, and Raghav is torn between his loyalty to his job and his growing allegiance to the cause of liberation.
